Why I Paint

Immersing myself in the creative process is a passion that knows no bounds. Painting is a profound form of self-expression.

At the core of my artistic journey lies the joy of creating something. My canvas becomes a mirror reflecting the myriad experiences that shape our lives as human beings.

Through art, I've discovered a language that transcends words; a bridge that brings us closer to the essence of what we are.

My Story

Growing up, I thrived on my creative nature, enjoying various activities that fuelled my imagination. However, as school and social conditioning took over, I gradually lost touch with this playful side.

At 25, while preparing for my diploma thesis in my studies of medicine, something just felt off.
Was I really here to do this? I started asking myself two profound questions:
"What do I really want to do?" & "Who do I want to be?"
The answers eluded me for quite a while but one thing was clear: The path I was on no longer felt true to me.

So, I made a choice: I quit my studies and chose to trust that something else would show up.
This leap into the unknown was both daunting and liberating.

For the first time since kindergarten, I was free from the confines of any institution.
This newfound freedom allowed me to truly explore my passions.

New possibilities for my future were abundant! I learned Thai-massage, was looking at yoga and was even considering education in Ayurvedic philosophy or bodywork. One afternoon, on our way home, my partner looked at me from the side and suddenly said "You know, you could just go create money with your art." Somehow, that moment, I really got it.
That was it.

I wanted to be an artist and pursue this as my career.
Since then I live as an artist as a way of being.

Thank you for joining me on my journey.
